CHALLENGE

Tasks we faced:

• Develop a mobile app for sponsors (business owners) and tourists (users) to engage in sponsor giveaways
• Implement safety alerts and notifications for users
• Create a platform for event creation and community interaction
• Design a seamless experience for two types of users with distinct functionalities
• Enable a chat feature for user communication and support

TECHNOLOGIES

The following technologies and tools were used to implement the project:

• UI/UX Design – Figma
• Mobile Development – Kotlin (Android), Swift (iOS)
• Backend & Admin Panel – CakePHP
• API Integrations – Google Maps API (for geolocation and alerts), Twilio (SMS notifications)

To address the dual-sided nature of the app, we developed two distinct interfaces: one for sponsors to manage giveaways and events, and one for tourists to participate and stay informed. The admin panel, built with CakePHP, provides full control over content, users, and analytics. Safety notifications were integrated using Google Maps geofencing, ensuring users receive relevant alerts based on their location.

By overcoming these challenges, Lucky Earth became a comprehensive solution for safe and engaging travel experiences, transforming initial obstacles into opportunities for growth and user satisfaction.
